I wanted to start my resource gathering by capturing what inspired me to undergo the project, and went back to Rogue Studios with a beautiful camera I borrowed at the AV store.
As soon as you step into the damp, historic building the amazing de-core jumps out at you. It's almost a treat to encounter such neglect and 'unsightly' paintwork - living in a slick city centre like Manchester.I feel the wounds in the walls surface reveal glimpses of it's past, as the building has held many roles in it's long history.

Texture: Three Dimensions represented in two
I have been inspired to pursue this concept after visiting a Rogue Studios in Manchester last year. I was taken with the immensely detailed texture the neglected and pealing paintwork, created. I felt it a necessity to involve the space somehow in a future project.
